The Airport Taxi Service booths are to the far right as you go through the exit doors on the Airport's main level. The taxis line up along the sidewalk.

 Passengers negotiate a fare with the Fortaleza Airport Taxi Drivers

The Airport Taxis are considered, special taxis, with special fares. They are registered with a cooperative and pay a fee to operate at the airport.

There is a sign posted with Destinations and Fares. Fortaleza is divided into 4 zones. Each zone includes a list of neighborhoods and a fare.

Passengers will be welcomed by the driver holding
a sign with their name on it. Payable
upon arrival in your destination.

Bandeira (Flag) 1 for Weekdays (6 a.m. to 8  p.m.)
and Saturday's from (6 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

Fares are 50% higher and considered:
 
Bandeira (Flag) 2 on Weekdays from
(8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and Saturdays (after 1 p.m.),
Sundays and Holidays.

Transfer from Fortaleza Airport to Jericoacoara R$ 420 BRL

Fortaleza Taxi drivers are generally very professional, friendly and easy to get along with. They would probably get ranked quite high if you compared them to the taxi drivers you encounter in most metropolitan cities around the world! 

Tipping is not obligatory but is appreciated. Especially if you have a lot 
of luggage or they go above and beyond the call of duty for you!

Important: If you don't speak Portuguese. I would highly recommend writing the hotel or address where you are headed on a piece of paper with the agreed upon fare alongside it. 

Make sure you have a firm agreement with your driver on the fare and where you are going before they start putting your luggage in the car!
