Peixada do Meio

PEIXIADA DO MEIO (Praia do Mucuripe): Has evolved into one of the best known and most respected Seafood Restaurants in Fortaleza. Its doors openned to the public over 40 years ago and the friendly staff is accustomed to receiving guests from all over Brazil, as well as those traveling internationally from abroad.

The Peixado do Meio kitchen and its traditional style of preparing local seafood dishes has been featured on national television. Specialties of the house include: Filet de Peixe Grelhado ao Molho de Camarâo (grilled fish in a shrimp sauce), Peixada do Meio (traditional style fish stew) probably their most popular dish, Fartura do Mar e Lagosta Grelhada (A grilled seafood and lobster combination).

Conveniently located along the Beira Mar overlooking the fishing boats and Praia do Mucuripe. Try to get a table along the railing on the second level for the best views!

Alfredo, O Rei da Peixada

ALFREDO, O REI DA PEIXADA (Praia do Mucuripe): One of the oldest, most traditional, and respected seafood restaurants in Fortaleza. Offering their guests a wide variety of fresh fish choices on the menu including one of the most famous Peixadas (fish stews) in the city.

The restaurant openned in 1958 and is conveniently located along the Beira Mar, just across from one of Fortaleza’s most popular post card settings, the fishing boats and Praia do Mucuripe. A great choice for a step back in time experience while dining out in Fortaleza.

Specialties include a variety of grilled fish dishes , lobster, shrimp, chicken and above all the traditionally prepared Peixada Alfredo (fish stew) and the equally famous Caldo de Peixe (fish soup) two dishes that would have to be included in the best of Fortaleza’s gastronomic specialties.

SIRIGADDO: 3 locations across the city: Offering high quality dishes at prices that attract and bring the working class of Fortaleza back again and again. The Sirigaddo is a salt water fish ranging in length from 30 to 60 centimeters and 5 to 25 kilograms.
